This will cater to 1150253 people of the district with the literacy rate of 81.22 as per 2011 census report. The institution is the result of the Resolution No. 4(c) of the Governing Body of Sibsagar College held on 12.04.2007 and the inspection of the members deputed by the NCTE, ERC was completed on 04.09.2013.
